Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, announced:
“As of June 13, 2025, due to the airstrikes launched by Israel against Iran in the early morning hours, and the subsequent rise in regional security risks, the airspaces of Israel, Iran, Syria, and Iraq have been temporarily closed to air traffic.
In this context, NOTAMs have been issued, and the airspaces of Israel, Tehran, and Baghdad will remain closed.
In response to these developments, our Directorate General of Civil Aviation, together with relevant airline operators, has taken necessary precautions. Flight routes have been re-planned to avoid risky airspaces. The safety of passengers and crew remains our top priority, and a crisis coordination team continues to monitor the situation.
At present, there are no passengers or crew members at risk.
As a result, Turkish Airlines and other relevant Turkish-registered airlines have suspended all flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Jordan until Monday, June 16, 2025.”
