FedEx, one of the world’s leading express transportation companies, has inaugurated its new global air transit facility at Istanbul Airport. The opening ceremony was attended by Mehmet İlker Haktankaçmaz, the Civil Administration Authority of Istanbul Airport, İGA Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen, and several other officials.

FedEx Corporation Chairman and CEO Raj Subramaniam emphasized Istanbul’s strategic importance for the company, stating:
“Istanbul plays a critical role in our global operations. This new facility will strengthen our connections across six continents while contributing to the growth of trade and e-commerce.”

İGA Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen underlined that the investment strengthens Türkiye’s strategic position in the aviation sector, saying:
