Qatar Airways and China Southern Airlines have expanded their codeshare partnership ahead of China’s Golden Week, aiming to provide more connectivity between China and the world via Doha. This development builds on the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two airlines last year and is designed to enhance global travel options for passengers flying from China.
Starting 16 October 2025, Qatar Airways will codeshare on China Southern’s direct flights between Beijing Daxing and Doha, operated three times per week. Similarly, China Southern will extend its “CZ” code onto Qatar Airways-operated flights beyond Doha, covering 15 destinations across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East — including Amman, Athens, Barcelona, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, Madrid, and Munich.
Commenting on the partnership, Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, said:

Coinciding with this year’s Golden Week, the expansion gives our Chinese customers unrivalled access from Doha’s Hamad International Airport — named the Best Airport in the Middle East by Skytrax in 2025 — to more than 170 destinations across our global network.”
