Latvia-based airline airBaltic has announced its new CEO. The company has appointed Erno Hilden, who will take office starting December 1, 2025.
The Finnish executive brings over 25 years of international aviation and finance experience. Previously, Hilden served as CFO at SAS Scandinavian Airlines and also held senior leadership positions at Saudi Arabian Airlines Group and Finnair.
The airBaltic Board of Directors emphasized that Hilden’s strong background in both operational and financial management will play a critical role in the company’s growth journey.
Until the transition is completed, the airline will continue operations under interim CEO Pauls Calitis.
After the handover, Calitis will return to his role as COO.
