Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia Strengthen Partnership

Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are set to enhance

Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are set to enhance their long-standing commercial partnership in August 2025 with joint fare products, additional codeshare destinations, and reciprocal lounge access.

Starting from August 2025, customers will be able to book flights operated by both airlines under a single itinerary between Singapore and Indonesia, offering greater convenience and a wider range of scheduling options.

Passengers will continue to benefit from existing codeshare services on flights operated by both carriers between Singapore and Indonesian cities such as Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya, as well as on SIA-operated flights to London Heathrow (UK) and Mumbai (India).

The two airlines will expand their codeshare agreement in August 2025 to offer more travel options beyond Singapore and Indonesia. Garuda Indonesia customers will gain access to four additional SIA destinations: Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi in India, and Malé in the Maldives. Meanwhile, SIA customers will be able to connect to Garuda Indonesia-operated flights from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, and from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Manado.

From mid-August 2025, GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer loyalty program members will enjoy reciprocal lounge access when traveling between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, or Surabaya. This includes access to Garuda Executive Lounges in Indonesia and the KrisFlyer Gold and Business Class SilverKris Lounges in Singapore. Members will also be able to earn and redeem miles on the new codeshare routes as part of the loyalty partnership launched in February 2025.

In May 2025, SIA increased its flight frequency between Singapore and Jakarta from eight to nine daily services. Subject to regulatory approval and operational considerations, Garuda Indonesia plans to raise its frequency on the Jakarta–Singapore route from six to seven daily flights in Q4 2025, with plans for further increases in the coming months.

Garuda Indonesia President and CEO Wamildan Tsani stated:
“We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with Singapore Airlines, reflecting our shared commitment to delivering a seamless and enhanced travel experience for our customers. This collaboration, offering wider connectivity and integrated services, also serves as a platform to deepen bilateral ties between Indonesia and Singapore.”

Singapore Airlines CEO Mr. Goh Choon Phong added:
“The strengthening of our partnership with Garuda Indonesia brings tangible benefits to our customers through joint fare products, expanded codeshare destinations, and enhanced loyalty offerings. Together, we are leveraging our combined strengths to enhance the customer experience and support the growth of air travel between, and beyond, Singapore and Indonesia.”
