A new version of the PUHU Cargo Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which has already entered the inventory of Turkish security forces, is now on the way, featuring a payload capacity of 100 kilograms to meet higher transport needs.
The 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), where Anadolu Agency (AA) is the “Global Communication Partner,” is being held at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense, with support from the Presidency of Defense Industries, organized by KFA Fairs Inc. under the management and responsibility of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV).
Founded as a subsidiary of Altınay Defense Technologies, DASAL has been working in the UAV field since 2019.
Over the years, DASAL has developed a wide range of UAV products, from micro-class drones to heavy-lift models designed to deliver critical logistics to remote locations.
Crowning its cargo UAV efforts, DASAL previously introduced the PUHU 75 Cargo UAV (PUHU C75) with a payload capacity of 75 kilograms, which entered service with Turkish security forces. Now, DASAL is set to debut its new development in this field at IDEF 2025.
Taking into account technological advancements and user demands for increased range and payload, DASAL has developed a new version of PUHU with a higher capacity.
The PUHU C100 was created to address critical field logistics with its 100 kg payload capacity, extended range, and high horizontal speed. The next-generation rotary-wing cargo UAV features autonomous mission planning and optimal route calculation capabilities. Thanks to its automatic hook release system, it can deliver cargo without landing. Alternatively, it can land at different bases for recharging and redeployment.
Equipped with a fast-charging system and intelligent battery software for uninterrupted operations, the PUHU C100 also includes advanced flight and load control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
With a total takeoff weight of 360 kilograms, the PUHU C100 can reach a maximum speed of 90 km/h and fly over 30 km one-way or more than 15 km in round-trip missions.
Capable of day/night missions and autonomous return-to-base, PUHU C100 is also outfitted with obstacle avoidance and a redundant flight control system.
