The SkyDrive SD-05, a three-seater electric aircraft, has been conducting test flights since spring at a dedicated facility in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. The current tests are being carried out without passengers and are focused on troubleshooting and performance optimization.
One of the key features of the SD-05 is its low noise level, especially when compared to conventional helicopters. Its compact and aerodynamic design also supports environmentally friendly operations while minimizing noise disturbance for surrounding communities.
A new video released from the Yamaguchi test site shows the SD-05 in flight, demonstrating the aircraft’s capabilities during this phase of development.
