The Istanbul-based company, which develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, announced that it had completely sold out its 2027 production quota for its two-seater LSA flying car model in only seven days.
This achievement positions AirCar as the fastest-selling personal flying car manufacturer in the world.
A Record from Türkiye: 100+ Orders in One Week
Launched on October 1, 2025, AirCar’s pre-order campaign received 75 individual and 25 corporate orders, totaling 100 units, without any paid advertising or sponsorships, relying solely on a social media announcement.
Orders came from various countries, including Türkiye, the United States, Germany, Qatar, and Ireland.
Each AirCar LSA was offered at a price of $99,000, marking a significant milestone for the global personal flight concept.
CEO Eray Altunbozar: “A Revolution in the Sky Begins”
“This is not merely a commercial success; it’s proof that people are now ready for personal flight technologies.
In the first phase, we demonstrated our technology through piloted flights; then, through pre-sales, we confirmed the demand.
Now we are entering the third and most important stage, the initial production phase. This marks a new era for AirCar’s achievements to date.
With the start of serial production, our goal is to deliver the AirCar LSA model to users worldwide and make personal flight accessible to everyone.
In short, a revolution in the sky is beginning.”
— Eray Altunbozar, Founder and CEO of AirCar
Next Target: 2028 Production Series
With the 2027 production quota fully booked, AirCar has started accepting pre-orders for 2028 deliveries.
The company’s vision is to make personal eVTOLs an accessible part of aviation. Having already completed successful manned flight tests, AirCar aims to shape the future of urban air mobility with its quiet and environmentally friendly technology.
Certification Process
The certification of AirCar’s LSA model is being conducted under the FAA MOSAIC framework (Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification) initiated by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
This new regulation expands the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category to include more advanced, electric, and vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. AirCar has also begun discussions with Türkiye’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation to carry out this process in parallel.
New Model on the Way: AirCar Ultralight
AirCar also plans to launch a single-seat ultralight eVTOL model at a more accessible price point of $49,900.
This new model is expected to go on sale and begin deliveries in 2026.
