As part of its ongoing “Flying to the Future” grant program, Pegasus Airlines is supporting the Nirengi Association’s new initiative titled “First Step in Technology – Digital Transformation Workshop for Young Women,” to be implemented in earthquake-affected areas of Türkiye.
Since 2018, Pegasus has been running the “Flying to the Future” program in partnership with the Support Foundation for Civil Society (Sivil Toplum için Destek Vakfı – STDV), with the aim of helping young people transform their energy into social impact. In the latest edition of the program, the Nirengi Association’s project has been selected for funding.
With this grant, the “First Step in Technology” project will empower women aged 18–30 living in the 11 provinces impacted by the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. The initiative aims to enhance these young women’s economic resilience and support their participation in social life. At least 330 women residing in three container settlements near the Nirengi Hub in Antakya, Hatay—home to approximately 12,000 people—will receive training in basic computer literacy, internet use, digital safety, and career guidance.
50 Projects and a Strong Social Impact
Through its long-standing partnership with STDV, Pegasus Airlines has supported nearly 50 projects to date via the “Flying to the Future” grant program, creating meaningful and lasting social impact across Türkiye.
